Today's free for all - a pocket and a technique.
It was very nice indeed not having to turn under a 1/4" edge all round the pocket, but there's no denying that it's easier to stretch fabric a bit when you need to . However, given that I'm never happy with my faux denim, I'm pleased enough with how this turned out.
5 1/4" square base.
Faux denim tutorial from TLC226; I used Faded Jeans and Broken China distress inks and Brilliance Moonlight white. After I'd added the stitching I crumpled them up and sponged again with Faded Jeans.
Sizzix tag waiting for a sentiment, gingham to match the feel of the jeans. Seeing as how these are homemade jeans and have no studs in them I used a plain filigree brad in the flowers on the tags. I also stamped a little Hero Arts paisley in the bottom corner with StazOn white and touched it up a bit with a gel pen.
What's with rivets on your back pockets anyway. I sit on the floor a lot, and they scratch the wood.
