I made this card for my mom who had her mastectomy last night. Unfortunately, the news wasn't as good as we'd hoped and the cancer had spread into lymph nodes. However, my mom has a deep faith that is keeping her peaceful. She and I both have chosen to trust and look forward. A verse that keeps coming to my mind is from Habakkuk after he knows that judgement is coming on the nation of Israel he lists a bunch of bad circumstances that await them and concludes..."Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior. The Sovereign Lord is my strength." Today, I choose to rejoice, trust and look forward. Thanks for all who prayed for my mom the last time I posted. I'd love to thank you all personally, but I've been overwhelmed just with keeping up with regular things. Gail
Card details:
I used yesterday's sketch which suited my image and took some of the thinking/planning out of the process for me! I had some polished stone paper in the pink family and stamped the image in Stazon over that. I embossed the sentiment in gold, used a piece from an oops attempt at stamping the image for my circle piece and layered it on grey and black with gold gel pen dots and a gold cord bow.

What a lovely card.
I am sorry to hear the news about your Mom. Looking forward and keeping the faith is just the thing to do. I have two friends, both with aggressive berate cancer, who are now considered survivors. Prayer, faith, family and positive attitudes are what each of them insist cured them.

I'm so sorry that you didn't get the news you'd hoped for - it's clear that you're really trusting and that your hope is in Him - I pray you'll keep finding strength and joy in His Word.
What a beautiful, beautiful card and so very meaningful.
