Sweet Stef asked me to help her out with tomorrow's Inspiration challenge.
I picked this wooden heart. I really liked the look of the wood showing through.
I tried to simulate it by swiping white acrylic ink over a piece of Kraft cardstock. Once it was dry the cardstock was embossed with Tim's Damask Embossing folder. Next I sanded the embossed part to have the kraft cardstock show through again.

I just can't get over how cool that embossed texture is ... and the flower and sentiment are the perfect touches (who makes that cool tag die cut?) ... thanks again for sending such an inspiring site my way ... and for joining me for a little IC fun.

You are so clever and creative, Beate. Beautiful work with the kraft cardstock to make it look textured like the wood. I'm favoriting your beautiful card so I can remember to try that technique!
