Kim challenged us this week to stamp an image without using black, brown or white. Well I'm in a mojo funk, so a stampin' buddy suggested that I try a new technique. A couple of Twinkling H2Os were on my stamping table, so I decided to use them. I have used twinkling H2O's often, but never to color nearly an entire image. Son number 3 is in Japan, OnyxXpressions stamps really lend themselves to this technique and mine feel particularly unloved so I chose this image. Stamped in Brocade Blue and painted as best I could, taking a few artistic liberties. Highlighted mountain tops with white gel pen and stickles. Matted on some Kioshi paper, then on an Artichoke card run through a bamboo EF.
Thanks so much for looking and have a peaceful day.

Marie this is so artistic. I love how it looks like a painting to be hung on a wall and cherished! I did not know one of your sons was in Japan. Did he get sent on a humanitarian mission or was he there during all the disasters? You are very talented with a paint brush. This is just gorgeous!
