This week's destination for our Teapot Tuesday cards is Brampton, Ontario. Our cards are going to Kim, cousin of Split Coast Stamper and Teapotter Virgo05. Kim is chairman of the Ford Local 584. His favorite foods are steak and crab legs. Thus the '57 T-Bird and the crabs at Joe's Steak House. I got the '57 T-Bird stamp some time ago, because that is my DH's all time favorite car. The crabs at Joe's was my DH's idea, based on an old, old ad that went somthing like "I got crabs at Joe's Bait Shop."
Cut out Tim Holtz's Rickety Shack die, then drew all the details with a Copic multiliner pen, and colored with Copics and silver gel pen. Colored with Copics and silver gel pen the T-Bird and cut out. Stamped the palm trees, ferns, grass and pebbles, then colored the ocean and stamped a bit of Craft White on it. Also colored the sand and driveway with Copics. Sponged the sky. Made the 2 signs - hand lettered - colored With Copics. Stamped Woodstock, colored with Copics and cut out. Colored with Copics behind where the windows in the shack will go and stamped and colored the crabs. Glued on the signs, shack, T-Bird and Woodstock.

Dear Auntie Susan!
Just wanted to drop you a line to let you know that your cards are wonderful. The latest one featuring crabs in the windows and that wonderful 57 T-Bird is another awesome addition to that gallery of cards for the gentlemen named Kim. Those teapotters that you are hanging out with these days sure make some wonderful cards and you are right there with em! I loved the little scene you created and I would love to have dinner at Joe's!! See you there, save me a spot at your favorite table!

Too cool Sue! I was wondering if DH would let you take his classic '57 T-Bird out of the garage for this challenge. Tell him thanks for me... hehe! LOVE what you did with Tim's rickety shack! It takes on a whole new life of its own under your multiliner pen. Love the tropical feel to this... sure would be nice to pull up a chair next to Woodstock and soak up some sunshine! Joe's Steak House reminds me of a trip to Key West and another Joe's restaurant that I'll never forget... had a baby grand piano painted florescent yellow and filled with peanuts. It was an all you can eat shrimp place, and everyone threw the peanut shells and shrimp tails on the floor. Rather messy, but a whole lot of fun!
As always, your attention to detail draws me right into the scene... FANTASTIC job!

I think that if we had many American cars over here, this would probably be my DH's favourite too, instead of the old Citroen D Super.
And oh my - look at Woodstock sunning himself on the beach - he must have given up on all those vain attempts to fly south. What a fantastic use of the shack die, I am totally in awe of what you've done with it!
Just don't drive that T-bird too near the sand, LOL. A few years ago in Greece we'd gone on a long walk along a lagoon, and when we were nearly back at the motorbike we heard some women calling. They'd driven onto the sand, and had spent the last hour trying to get the car back onto the hard again - and calling for help in case anybody was around.
