Lots of stamp companies (including Stampin' Up! and Papertrey Ink) have been bringing very cool vintage button card stamp sets to market recently. They are oh, so tempting but not in my budget. When I inherited my gramma's sewing basket over a decade ago, her collection of buttons came with it. Not only was there a treasure trove of vintage buttons, there was a nice selection of button cards as well. I do love my buttons, so I was thrilled to receive these!
Last week I fished around in my button collection to see if I could find an actual vintage button card to use on a card. I found several that were promising. Not wanting to immediately use up this precious vintage resource, I decided to try scanning one (then printing it out on Neenah natural white card stock and cutting it out) and had fabulous results. This is the card I ended up making.
For more details about my card, including this vintage button card that you can download and print out to use for yourself, please visit this post on my blog: http://mylittlesliceofbliss.blogspot...on-button.html

Emz, this is sooo pretty. Love the buttons. I really like the banner too. How lucky to have your grandma's button box. I know you love them. Thanks for the download.

Emily - I love buttons to (almost as much as punches LOL!) and I love all the fun cards you make with them. This one is very cool - so creative of you to scan/print and distress the irreplacable button card - it looks PERFECT here. Very nice!

Emzi, this is so special. I love the button card and your story of how you made it (wow - I can just imagine how cool your vintage inherited sewing stuff is). This card is wonderful - love the banner with hearts, that cool paper, and those pretty flowers. One super creation my friend.
