I gave away a PaperMania Victorian Fleur embossing folder on my blog a while ago and I made this card for the winner, Theresa, to accompany the folder. Of course, I had to use the folder on the card - along with my newly acquired Morning Glory set.
I am loving stamping with these old, retired two-step floral sets and am building up a collection. I also seem to be collecting old, retired background stamps too - they do work well together it has to be said!
The card measures 5 3/4" square and was made with Baja Breeze CS. I used Baja Breeze and Not Quite Navy inks for the flowers and Pear Pizzazz and Old Olive inks for the leaves. The Weathered background stamp was stamped in Antique Linen distress ink. I embossed the folder on a piece of Core'dinations CS and scuffed the embossing with fine sandpaper to reveal the paler core of the CS.
Plain square and Lacy Square Nestabilities dies were used to mat and layer. The Perfect Plum layer is popped up as are two of the Morning Glory flowers.
