I have been working my way through the sketch challenges randomly but this is the first one that is 'current'. I love the sketch challenges as it forces me to think outside of (my normal) box! Although I use purple A LOT!!! I don't usually combine it with grey and I love how it turned out.
Stamped text stamp in 'Velvet' ink and covered with ep and heat. Used blending tool and distress inks and kept going around the edges until I got the colour I was looking for. Stamped my sentiment and used a bit of distress ink around edges. Layered everything.
Now to fill that corner . . .found a self-adhesive flower (mirror), used the blending tool with felt and alcohol inks. The bkgrd was too light to put it directly on there, so I cut a small circle from dk purple cs and then layered! The photo doesn't really capture the colours but it's close enough! tfl Would love to hear what you think!

Very rich colours here and they set off the sentiment nicely. I appreciate that you included so much detail in your description. I'll remember your solution to the contrast problem with your flower. Happens to me a lot! TFS
