This is a card that I was working on for a while. I got it finished and posted because it’s perfect for today’s Ways to Use It “SMILE” challenge. Just love these smiling girlfriends! To make the pocket, I stamped on Not Quite Navy CS with white craft ink and embossed with clear EP. I wet the cardstock, crumbled and dried it several times to help it look like denim and then cut it out. The embellishments on the pocket were made with the Faux Metal technique. A quick summary of that technique is to pat embossing ink over a section of CS and emboss with your choice of powder, then while the embossing is still hot, sprinkle EP over it again & heat it. Repeat that a couple times until you have the look you want. The last time, and while the embossing is still hot, press a stamp into the embossing for the faux metal look. The image of the girls is embossed and colored with blender pens & markers. I cut it out leaving a small tab on the bottom to fit in the pocket and put it on the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Everything was layered with a piece of Bella Rose DP. This will be my second card for the month of March for the Divine Designs Bible Verse Challenge. Your comments will make me smile! TFL

Great look with the gingham and denim, and a sweet card. Your faux metal on the pocket looks fantastic. It's a technique I like, but I've never tried it except with gold and silver - the copper looks perfect for this.
