Lovely sketch today, and I managed to find time to make a card.
A2 base, edges sponged with ColorBox Pigment Chestnut.
All papers are scraps of Bazzill, watercolour paper for the image.
Blue layer was stamped using a Fiskars woodgrain texture plate. I thought it would give a perfect ripple effect, and those plates are large enough that even rotated through 90 degrees it still worked as a backgrounder stamp. I inked it with Stormy Sky distress ink, and sponged the edges with brown. Small panels were embossed with Forest Branches and wiped with distress inks- Peeled Paint and Scattered Straw.
Impression Obsession image coloured with markers, misted and stamped, edges heavily distressed. I love how beautifully watercolour paper distresses .
Two little QuickKutz leaves and a waterlily-like flower made with assorted punches finish the card off.

Your card is beautiful!! I love the more neutral color of your heron, and the textured, embossed pieces in the bg. Your colors are lovely, and I like that you were able to take your picture outdoors.

WOW! Your card epitomizes the sketch for today... it is incredible! Love the heron image displayed on the distressed and textured panels... the ripple effect is absolutely brilliant!
