This technique was brand new to me, and it was hard at first because I was afraid to let the candle touch the paper - so it wasn't sooty enough to take the impression of the chess piece stamp. I wouldn't call this the easiest technique to learn - but it is really cool once you get over your nerves (smiles).
So this card took up the full amount of time we have - pushing me to use a bic lighter which works faster. The third time with the bic was perfect!
I think a chess player would understand the hidden message....'it's your play'.

LOL I understand completely! I think I burnt up quite a few pieces of cardstock before I just decided to use that as part of my card! ;) Love the chess piece and "play" on words! Thanks for joining us for VSN!
