I made this for the teapot challenge. It is going to a young lady in Westland, Michigan who is a very talented actress but is having some health issues right now that are interfering with her goals and dreams. I thought and thought and thought some more about what I could do. I didn't really have any stamps that would work so I decided to take this in a bit of a different route than everyone else. I wanted to remind Lauren (as seen as a little girl) that she should never give up on her dreams and that despite what she is going through right now that if she stays hopeful and strong she will accomplish whatever she sets out to do. I hope she likes it. I tried to use some chalks to highlight the embossed areas and not sure it turned out like I wanted. I colored the image with colored pencils, cut it out and applied glossy accents to give her some shine. Added some stars that I cut cut out, as well as some pearls.

Aww, how sweet she looks playing dress-up, and with her momma's pearls. You found a great inspirational verse - it certainly shows that you put time and thought and care into making a meaningful card for Lauren.

Lauren is going to love this! She's been acting since 2nd grade and her dreams really did start out as a little girl. Acting has been such a passion with her all her life and we encouraged her to change her university major from psychology to acting, which she did. I love love love the poem and it really captures the need to hang on to one's dreams. Many thanks for your efforts on Lauren's behalf.

This is a wonderful poem of hope for Lauren!! The young lady reminds me of the days when we use to play dress up! Such fun and carefree days, days that probably formed the dream of being an actress for Lauren!!
A beautiful card!!!
