Today Kim gave us the challenge to use a silhouette image, or create our own. I had an idea in my head that I don't know if came across clearly. I used an embossing folder on my black cardstock. It has kind of a rough look to it. My middle panel, to me, looks like the texture of an oak tree. Then on the white cardstock I was going to use some oak leaves, but then I would have had to color them in. It didn't look so hot, so I just used a leaf from the Paradise set. It's supposed to have an outdoorsy look. As I was playing with the black and white, and also using a bit of gray I started to think about life in general. It's not all black and white. And then I thought I would use the sentiment from Ghandi that I love.
Sorry about all of the jabber there. Thanks for looking and commenting. :>)

Funny how a card evolves isn't it! This turned out simply fantastic. Love it. Very striking in the black/white/grey combo. :)

Wonderful card, Kim! I love the texture from the embossing, and the simple silouette panel! Yes, life is not always black and white, and smooth; the choices we make are more complicated than that. Life is a matter of making our choices and sticking by them, whether they bring some rough times or easy, smooth times! Your card goes from all black to black on gray, to black on white, from rough to smooth! Pretty in depth for a card!!
