This is for today's tea party challenge, to make a card with owls to send encouragement to Marie, who loves owls. I used a tree embossing folder with a computer generated sentiment, and then added a popped up owl which was colored with copics. I added a button which had large holes for tying a ribbon knot.
This owl is one of Irish cousins from the O'Whooterihan clan, he's a distant relative of the McWhoolisters and the McWhooters and when someone in the family, no matter how distant they are, needs help, those Irish cousins come to the rescue!
I really wasn't sure whether this sentiment was too "cheeky" for the circumstances so I made another owl card just in case - maybe you could let me know what you think?

Oh goodness, I think this is the card I'd send. The other one, I already said, is gorgeous and has a really classy style, but this is sheer FUN and that's got to be good for someone in Marie's situation.

Ha ha! I knew some Irishowls would be here! Giggle! What fun to see the 'OWhooterihan's up close and personal.......they are a might more colorful than the average owl....a little pink around the eyes...but the green shoulder pads are a dead giveaway, that Irish Green!
I think this is precious....and we will see what Fran's comment here brings but I think it would be fine to send to Marie as I understand she has a pretty good sense of humor! And let's face it, it says YOU care....and you do or you would not be here! Its a precious card...I am off to see the other!
