Today's Free for All challenge is to go "almost monochromatic" - one neutral and one color along with white or vanilla. I decided to try the faux flower press technique on this one and it was fun - remember the feeling you got when you first heat embossed and saw the powder bubble up into beautiful glossiness - well, it was fun to see how the pattern came out in lovely texture which isn't really captured too well in my photo! I punched flowers in two different sizes from cherry cobbler and glued them randomly on white cardstock, then embossed it with the square lattice folder. If anyone is interested here's the tutorial by Anne: Faux Pressed Flowers Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers
I computer generated this sentiment which I got off a quotes website and added a border, popping it up on frames. I set it slightly off the card so that more of the texture and pattern could be seen - and because I'm kind of into that at the moment! I added pearls to finish.

I want to try that technique, but it never crossed my mind to use it for today's challenge. This looks lovely on screen, so if you say it's better IRL it must be gorgeous. A real treat for whoever receives it, both the card and the care behind it.

This is so pretty, thanks for the link too, I'll check it out. Always love hearing about techniques - I haven't done that before! Love the sentiment & cherry cobbler is so pretty isn't it? Thanks Bridget!

Bridget, this is such a pretty, encouraging card. Love the quote. You did a great job on the faux pressed flowers technique. It is really cool how they turn out, isn't it? Love this beautiful card!
