The current ODBD challenge is the blues. When I read this part of Ecclesiastes I hear the old gospel song - To everything there is a season, turn, turn, turn. It's also one of the readings when there was a dedication to my great grandfather in one of the cathedrals here many years ago. As one of the few good Irish speakers in the family I was still relieved that my uncle took this reading, leaving me with Philippians :D.
A2 base. Base layer is watercolour paper washed with Faded Jeans re-inker, and then stamped with the leaf. I stamped it off each time to keep it from being too dominant. Distressed and sponged the edges. For the main layer I stamped the Scripture stamp first in Versafine Black. Then I stamped the leaves with Versamark and embossed with clear EP. Then I washed the whole panel with more Faded Jeans, and again distressed and sponged the edges, then stuck it up on foam. For a pop of colour I added a single leaf stamped with Spiced Orange for the base and Worn Lipstick for the veins.

This is beautiful and could be framed and hung on a wall! The colors are pretty and peaceful (at least to me - since blue is my fav color), and even looking at it just made me feel serene! A lovely card!!
