This month at Gingersnap Creations we're celebrating Royalty ... Kings & Queens will abound. In order to receive the Creative Crown, all you have to do is create a project featuring a King or Queen.
For my design, I decided to turn Smile from Stampotique into the King of Hearts. I stamped him on white cardstock, paper pieced his outfit, and added a Jolee Crown on his head. Since Stampotique is sponsoring this weeks CPS Sketch, that's the layout I used for my design.
Stampotique Hanging Hearts were stamped along the top of the DP and several of the hearts were paper pieced with Cajun Craze cardstock. I free-hand cut Smile's speech bubble after printing the sentiment (in Adler font) on white cardstock.
I added Create Your Own Reality from Catslife Press and some purple pearls along the side. When I finished, there was a big open space on the right side of the DP panel. I considered several things to fill it, and then almost giggled when I realize the sweet little Pure Innocence girl was the same proportions as Smile. I cut away the balloon in her hand ... it's almost like she's signaling one of her girlfriends to come rescue her from the King who is moving her direction.
She is also stamped on white cardstock with paper piecing and prismacolor pencil coloring (including some Cajun Craze hair).

Bwahahaha! Oh Steph- this is great! You should totally add TSC0204 to your keywords. The challenge this week is to make a funny Valentine, w/o pink or red! I *love* this card. The contrast between that sweet lil gal and uh.....the "king" are a riot. Too cute!

This is so great! I love the images with that sentiment - so true in life for those of us who are a bit different...
Great card!
