Not so happy with this, but after all the work I put into it I'm posting it anyway. Tutorial in Resources.
Background is ODBD Light of the World, stamped on watercolour paper and coloured with distress inks. Foreground pelican and pilings are from StarvingArtistamps, sand from Shore Thing, also coloured with distress inks. I used Bazzill for the sliding piece (HA sentiment, scallop shell from Pink Cat Studio) and a piece of BoBunny for the wrap-around strip.
I had a lot of trouble punching through the wraparound strip and base - in the end I used circle Nestabilities but I'll try to find another way round this.

Not only do I love it, but, we go to a place in California called Pismo Beach every winter and all the components of your card spell Pismo Beach, from the pelicans to the lighthouse. We are going there in 2 weeks and this card has me thinking of our perfect place.

I can't see why you're not happy with this...it's awesome. We're sometimes our own worst critics eh! Love that pelican and the lighthouse behind is terrific. Great card. REALLY. TFS. : )
