My project today is a birthday card since I have so many birthdays to celebrate in the next few months, I donÂ’t want to run short on my supply. The inspiration for this card came from a card I received long ago from Claire Brennan. I grabbed some Prismatics cardstock and created a base and then added a background of patterned paper from SEIÂ’s ClaireÂ’s 6 X 6 paper pack available at I {Heart} Papers.
I die cut another piece from this paper pack using my Grand Labels 4 die and trimmed off a bit from one side. I love the look of the threaded ribbon that Claire included on her card, that I wanted to try the technique for myself. Using a ruler, I marked off every 1/4” on the back side of the paper using a pencil, and with a craft knife, I cut slits where the marks were made. These acted as guides through which I threaded my Faux Suede Ruffled Ribbon finishing it off by tying a bow and adding a couple of Zva Creative Flowers.
