I also love houndstooth and had to use this ribbon. I stamped my image and cut out some of the swirls. Colored my flower..which was part of the swirly image. It was a simple card to do and I think I developed a new love for 'lilac/purple.

I spy that Alabama ribbon there and it looks fabulous with the flower and that purple (I am doing a lot more purple these days too). Pretty, pretty, pretty card.

Hmmm so Nancy spies Alabama ribbon there.......hmmmm I wonder just what she means.............. I'll leave it to your imagination..... Very abstract, my dear........Ahhh - *houndstooth ribbon* I get the code now!! You've cut up a too small houndtooth skirt of yours and are repurposing it for ribbon. Well, I guess I'll be seeing a LOT of your Alabama ribbon, that's for sure!!!! Lovely card.

Brainzi just never gives you a break does she? I'm surprised she didn't check out your flower for spy equipment. You know that card she made with the large button is sure to be spy equipment, don't ya think? She's so clever, but never too clever for The Fruitcake1-2DIQ. If you get that button card, throw it away immediately!
Now, back to your card. Wow, I love the way the purple flower POPS off the black and gray colors. I actually do love purple/lilac and need to use it more often. It's hard to get them just right though. You have certainly mastered it and then some. LOVE that houndstooth ribbon. Like Debzi said, hope that skirt doesn't get too short cutting it up for ribbon!

So pretty, Benz....I like the black houndstooth better than the brown that I used in my case of Jenna's cared. Last night when I checked my e-mail I let out a woo-hoo and my husband said..what's going on and I said 'Benzi's in town'.....lol. Thanks for your visit and all your wonderful words.

Love the pop of purple on this black and white beauty. Whatever the source of the hounds-tooth ribbon, it looks great!
