The WT307 challenge was to have a rainbow on our card. The StampinB's challenge was to make a card inspired by a song. This is the card for both of those challenges. The rainbow was made by taking markers and scribbling the colors next to eachother on a piece of acetate. I then took a coffee filter and sprayed it with water. I then laid the filter over the acetate. The colors slowly mixed together and I was left with a beautiful rainbow. The song part of this card comes from the Hymn O LOVE THAT WILL NOT LET ME GO. There is a line in the song that says "I trace the rainbow through the rain." What a testimony of faith through trials. I printed that song on my rainbow coffee filter and decided to cut it into a circle. I took rainbow ric-rack and sewed it around the circle. Then I got stuck I just couldn't find a background. All the dp that I had was just to pastel. Then at the bottom of my dp drawer was a piece of dp that I know has been in there at least 5 years. It was rainbowy with out being overpowering. I made it even more subtle by covering it with lace. I added a gold ribbon with gold thread and a gold butterfly, because what goes better with rainbows than the POT OF GOLD? The butterfly is the butterfly from Mark's Finest Papers TAKE A PEEK. It was stamped with versamark and then heat embossed with gold ep. I cut it out and gave it a wing-ectomy. I added gold brads and pearls to finish it off. I will have more about the hymn on my blog.***warning I have music on my blog***

:D - I've been singing that hymn all afternoon because of the challenge. I am glad you used it. I really love the ricrac around it, it frames it so beautifully.
