As soon as I saw this challenge I was reminded of the beautiful tile work I saw when I visited Portugal. Many of the old buildings have these wonderful tile scenes (know as Azulejos) embellishings their facades. The tiles come in many styles and colors, but most are blue and gray. I decided to use a sailboat image for my "tile" to pay homage to Portugal's "Age of Discovery."
The card is done on an A2 base and would make a wonderful masculine Birthday card. What do you think?
Thanks for looking!

Oh yes! That's what I thought, too... only Tuscany. European tile is so amazing! This simple card is so striking because of this technique. Brilliant to use the boat as the shine makes you feel like it's on water! Thanks so much for playing along!

That's definitely perfect for a masculine bday card. My parents visited portugal a couple years ago and my mom brought back tons of photos of all those tiles. They looked so amazing - you did a great job honoring them!

I think it's a great card, too - so I put it in My Favorites for future reference. The faux tile is wonderful but I also like the layout and the ribbon treatment, perfect for a masculine card. TFS
