Betty's color challenge this week was burgundy, Pear Pizzazz and Baja Breezes. Betty and the entire Flourishes design team (from which she recently stepped down) are especially good at adding embellishments to their cards that say "more is more," while I seem to just make a mishmash of stuff when I kick it up a notch from CAS. I'm trying to move out of my comfort zone a bit more this year, so bear with me...
Stamped the fuchsia from Flourishes Fuchsias in Bloom in Soft Suede on Flourishes cream CS, colored with chalks fixed and cut with an oval Nestie. Matted with Burgundy and Kiwi (no pear yet, nearest that I had) Nestie ovals, sponged BG with Baja. Pierced the scallops. Mounted on Websters Pages & BG Capella papers. Pierced the corner and added pearls, used Gold gel pen to color stems. Wrapped the trim ribbon around MS twill tape and wrapped around DP/under image. Tied American Crafts button to one from my stash with linen thread and applied with dimensional. Ran Baja CS through BigShot with CB border EF and mounted image panel. Cut Nestie Classic Lace border in Kiwi and applied inside of card.
Thanks for looking, any constructive critiques/ suggestions are most welcome, because I do want to learn & grow in this style. Have a peaceful day.
