The current ODBD Stamping in Time assignment is All creatures great and small. I might have to resort to punch art if I want great creatures, here in the meantime is a small creature.
A2 cream base.
For the image panel I stamped a Penny Black stamp with StazOn Timber Brown and added colour with distress inks. Sponged the background with Tumbled Glass, Peeled Paint and Vintage Photo and then added Frosted Lace Stickles to the grass heads. I distressed the edges, sponged with Vintage Photo and then added brown stitching. The verse from Scripture Series 1 was stamped with Versafine Olympia Green, cut with oval Nestabilities, edge sponged with Peeled Paint, Antique Linen over the oval to take the brightness off it and faux stitching added. It's popped up on foam.
The butterfly from Don't Worry was stamped with the Timber Brown and coloured with distress inks, also popped up on foam.
After I'd been making this we were sitting downstairs, and DH was playing guitar and singing. He said "That's your stamp" and I looked blank and thought I'd misheard, till he pointed out he was singing a song with the lines The grass withers, the flowers fade...

Absolutely gorgeous! Love the Stickles on your grasses... it looks like sunshine glistening on them! Beautiful butterfly and the stitching ties it all together.
