I fell in love with this Flourishes' Stamp Set called Swan Lake. It has so many pieces that can be mixed and matched. I found out while in England that my sister loves swans - who knew? So, this card will be going to her.
I used some K&C dp that I've been hoarding as I just love to look at it. Such pretty combo of colors. I made this card larger than most - 5.5x5.5 and added the top nestie piece, so it's probably about 5.5x5.75 all together.
I watercolored the image with orchid oppulence, marina mist, pear pizzaz and old olive. I sparkled up the swan and babes and a few of the flowers. Wish it picked it up in the photo. The swans look a lot prettier. I used the circle nesties for the image and framing and the lacey circle nestie for the full framing. I popped up the image and lacey nestie panel on dimensionals. Added some marina mist silk ribbon and a flower on top of the ribbon.
That about does it. No challenges here, just having fun with a cooool set I received from Peggy-Sue some time back - thanks Peggy-Sue.
Thanks for lookin' and have a great week.

OMG, Pamzi...this is just outstanding!!! I had been wondering where you were and opened the pnz and caught a glimpse and knew immediately it was yours. I love the blues and orchids and you watercolored it beautifully. Your sister is sure to be happy to receive it. This is a 10 out of 10.

Love this card - I adore swans too and you colored them beautifully. The layout is so great too. You are doing some mighty fine work Fruitcake! I am a big fan of "The Black Swan" book - maybe you can make one with one of those rare black swans.
Ok - about the comment regarding me trying to take over SCS with a zillion cards, that was not my plan (maybe we could do that one day though - put that on our bucket list). I did have three days all alone with nothing to do but stamp and it was wonderful. I only loaded a few I made - I didn't want to overwhelm everyone.

Pamzi your Sister is going to love it! It is just awesome. Not only do I love that gorgeous blue color, but I am awed by how well your image matches the design in your paper. The two were meant for each other. Excellent piece of workmanship to be cherished and treasured!
