I'm working on thank-you cards for Christmas gifts, and this chickadee seemed like it would work well as a clean and simple ("CAS") card. I colored the bird with Copics, made a highlight on the berries and cheek with a white Gellyroll pen, covered the berries with Crystal Effects, placed a strip of designer paper in the middle, and stamped the sentiment from SU!'s Small Script set at the bottom.
This also fits the "Love Is in the Air" Dirty Dozen Fan Club theme for January 2011. I love my Copics, CAS style stamping, birds, this Pure Luxury Ivory paper by Gina K. Designs, and RED (especially the new Cherry Cobbler from SU!)!
Thanks for your comments.

Hi Shellie! Thanks for dropping by!! It reminds me to pop in and say hi from time to time. I had a peek thru your gallery and popped your "birthday chick" card into my faves--love that sketch and your fresh colors and fun images. This is also a sweet CAS. Love that rosy little cheek you've given this chubby cutie and those glazed berries. The blue is a fabulous choice and really makes him stand out.

How gorgeous is this? I am also a fan of a great CAS card and this definitely fits that criteria. Your coloring is fab and the strips of DP is perfect.
