-Prismacolor pencils, baby oil and paper stumps were used to color the image using the Gamsol technique. Baby oil replaces the Gamsol/mineral spirits.
-The hearts on the floral paper are punched and glued to the card. To make the process fast and easy I squeeze a drop of glue onto a waxed paper (I repurpose the paper that stickers and labels are purchased on), touch the end of a large corsage pin to the glue then to the back of the punched heart which picks it up, position it on the card and press down with a finger, there is a little time to slide the heart into position if needed before it sticks tight. If you arenÂ’t sure where to put the hearts layout them out upside down on the paper, pick them with the glue and pin and flip them over.
-The EK Success hearts were layered white on red with glue for adhesive then punched with a button hole punch (double holes on one punch) and if you want them exact holes on the second and third as you have on the first just hold it over the top and line the punch prongs up to the holes.
I tied the bakerÂ’s twine onto the heart and they are mounted with heavy carpet tape (from the dollar store) that I layer according to height needed. To make it easy to tie the twine I strung it through the heart then taped the heart to the work surface with repositional tape and made the ties. Love that repositional tape and use so much that I have pieces cut and stuck to my work table at all times and replace it as it gets worn out.
