The currentODBD assignment was Ring in the New, which we could interpret as we wished. I chose to try a new to me technique, although I know it's really an old one. DH uses shaving gel not foam, and I specially bought some foam last time I saw it on an offer. Thanks to my old Krylon pen smudging, this is my 2nd panel and it isn't as pretty as the first one. But thanks to my NEW Wizard, I can at last use my Fiskars Texture Plates, which I used to add texture to the base layer. (My old Wizard was a very gratefully received second-hand gift, but from the time I had it it would never emboss more than the centre third of a texture plate, and it used to take several passes to cut a Bigz or Sizzlit).
5 3/4" square base, covered with black and then some HOTP paper textured with Feathers. Image panel is shaving foam technique, then stamped with Flower Frames 2 and a verse from Scripture Collection 1 (I think?). After the leafing pen fiasco I used gold EP to edge it the second time round. I added some punched leaves and a bird, with a tiny purple gem for his eye. I did use the gold pen round the bird's wing so it would stand out against the body, although it's also popped up on foam.
It's a little bit brighter, but I was having trouble lighting it so that the texture showed and the bird wasn't flattened out, so for tonight this is the best I can do.

Turned out great, I like the way the bird came out, I really like the leaft punch, would love to know who makes it. I am thinking it is the krylon pen on the wings of the bird, it looks like aged wood. tfs
