I can't believe I have no Winnie the Pooh stamps, me being from Winnipeg & all. But I do have baby blue stuff so here is my card for the Teapot Tuesday Challenge along with a bit of "Pooh" history taken from just-pooh.com site.
During the first World War, troops from Winnipeg (Manitoba, Canada) were being transported to eastern Canada, on their way to Europe, where they were to join the 2nd Canadian Infantry Brigade. When the train stopped at White River, Ontario, a lieutenant called Harry Colebourn bought a small female black bear cub for $20 from a hunter who had killed its mother. He named her 'Winnipeg', after his hometown of Winnipeg, or 'Winnie' for short.
Winnie became the mascot of the Brigade and went to Britain with the unit. When the Brigade was posted to the battlefields of France, Colebourn, now a Captain, took Winnie to the London Zoo for a long loan. He formally presented the London Zoo with Winnie in December 1919 where he became a popular attraction and lived until 1934.
The bear was also very popular with Christopher Robin, son of author A.A. Milne. It was his favourite animal at the Zoo, and he often spent time inside the cage with it. The bear was Christopher Robin's inspiration for calling his own teddy bear Winnie.....Winnie the Pooh (this teddy bear started out with the name of Edward Bear).

No way! That's awesome to know the story of how Winnie came to be....and I thought it was because some baby bear fell out of a tree trying to nab honey, and got stung by a couple of bees! He was such a mini-little bear he could not get anyone's attention so he just made a faint mini little whinney until some Blue Robin that he named Christopher flew him outa there! Snort!
What a perfect widdo baby blue boy baby card you created with your awesome baby stamps! Just precious and adorable and Jamie will be loving this! Thanks for the history lesson, Vicki from Winnie! Tee hee!

Thanks for sharing that story as well as your sweet card. I did know about the bear in the zoo, and Christoper Robin's bear starting out as Edward Bear, but I never knew all the rest.

Awesome baby card and love the history lesson!! I had heard that before but can always use a refresher course. I, myself have about 10 Pooh related stamps if you ever need any I can stamp them off and e-mail copies to you to use like digi's. Anyone else can have them too!!
