My very First "2011" card using the beautiful new stamp set "Nature Walk" and DP "Botanical Gazette" from the SU Occasions Mini. This is an 8"x4" card. The paper is so gorgeous that it makes a great starting place to design a beautiful, yet easy card.
I had so much fun with this card using Mary Fish's aka Petal Pusher's "Scrunchy Ribbon" technique. I am including the link to Mary's Nature Walk card using the scrunchy ribbon. Be sure and check out the link to Mary's blog, which includes a one minute tutorial video on the technique. Mary used satin ribbon, but I tried the technique with the Cherry Cobbler seam binding ribbon and a retired 1/4" Old Olive twill. They worked great and very quickly.
I did cut out 3 extra razberries and stamped and cut out the birdcage and popped up all of them on dimensionals. The plant with the red flowers I just stamped on the DP and colored the flowers with my marker. The "friends" was also stamped. I sponged the edges of the layer and added the ribbon with sticky strip. That's it! Enjoy and Happy New Year to my SCS friends.......Nancy
I am adding my card to the new SU Demo "Creative Crew" challenge for 2011. This is the January Catalog Focus Challenge to use supplies from the new Spring Occasions Mini. Just click on the "Keyword" Creative Crew link for more examples.

Nancy,
Your card is just gorgeous. I love the way you accented this beautiful paper. Love the ribbon treatments (I tried for over an hour yesterday-following the video and find that I am ribbon technique challenged!). I know we are going to enjoy this new forum and challenge.
