Today's challenge is about resolutions. Well, I made mine around Christmas time.
I mailed out a lot of home made cards and a lot were returned for more postage - even though I had put extra postage on. Some of my cards took .81 or over a dollar. NO MORE!!! I even took some to the post office where the clerk put postage on and the next day, there they were in my mailbox for MORE postage. When I went back, she said it was "the plant". Well, that's it!!! I'm madder than heck and I'm not gonna waste money on extra postage anymore except for very special cards!!!
My resolution is to make more CAS cards that will mail for one stamp - no more than an extra .17!!!
This card has faux postage, no ribbon and should go for one stamp - we'll see!

And then there's me, if you read my resolution I half the time don't mail them at ALL, and they get gifts when I SEE the WHITES of their EYES!! happy new year Vicky! ;) Your card is so sweet!~

Vicky, same thing happened to me and I brought them all back and they told me because there was a bump(ribbon knot)
that there is a surcharge. Well no more bumps will be in my cards either. Happy New Year~Great card~

I think that is one of the reasons my cards sit here, too! The postman reeeeally doesn't like me! I take stuff in to mail, and I watch as he bends them (seriously!) and pokes them, and rolls his eyes. One day he even said "Does this one have PINS in it?" (no dear man, those are "brads"!) So I either need to buy more padded envelopes or go CAS just like you, Vicky! This card doesn't look "low postage" at all It's sparkly fabulous, loooove the tapestry dp in the background!

Beautiful card, and a smart resolution. With postage going up, it will be even worse. I usually keep the fancier cards for people that I see and can hand them the card instead of mailing it. Of course, most of my cards are pretty plain anyway. I love the colors on your card.

Oh, Vicky, that's terrible about the cards being returned! Your card is LOVELY, by the way.
Oh, and NONE of my cards are ever just an extra $.17! Heeheehee...Most are just over a dollar... I just put 3 Forever Stamps on the envelopes and forget about it!
