When I saw the ways to use it challenge to use silver today, I thought about a technique I used recently to make a metallic look using a mix of gold, black and clear ep embossed onto silver. I ran my silver paper through the Big Shot in my square lattice embossing folder over which I had put Versamark ink on the raised side. I then embossed the mixture of powders into the debossed side. For the butterflies I used the Beautiful Wings emosslit die on the 3 colors of paper then layered the butterflies. For extra shine, I used my Versamarker to emboss with clear ep on the edges and raised areas of the butterflies. The sentiment is embossed in black ep and I used the Versamarker to add black on the edges of the scallop square punched silver piece. I layered those on a piece of Real Red also embossed around the edges in clear ep and mounted the sentiment panel and butterflies onto the card using dimensionals.
