My CAS98 Challenge to be inspired by a ruffled apron and the F4A43 Challenge to take a Christmas break and make a Birthday Card.
The 2 things that caught my eye on the apron were the 3 layers of ruffles and the blue and green colors. I had fun trying diff. combinations of ribbons...you do not want to know how many I tried :-) I like my final choices. The Kiwi Kiss Satin (ret) and the Marina Mist Taffeta I thought looked great together. The Victoria 5/8" Crochet Trim was an easy choice. Adding the SU Square Lattice EB folder for a background gave the card even more texture, which I always like in a card.
It was fun making a non-Christmas card and using my brand new SU "Create a Cupcake" stamp set from the soon to be released 2011 Occasions Mini even if it was only for the Happy Birthday sentiment. I thought the pretty font was perfect for the ruffled girlie card.
BTW, I used sticky strip on the ribbons and then rubbled adding liq. glue to the Kiwi Kiss and Marina Mist ribbons to lay down more. I left the lace as is as I liked the look.
Enjoy and TFL......Thanks girls for the fun challenges.....

Love the rich texture of the dry embossing with these pretty ribbons. I made a card for this CAS challenge today, too, but I forgot to snap a picture of it. I'll just have to wait until tomorrow to post it. Take care!
