I tried out a new gadget I bought - called the Sew Easy. It is a little handle with interchangeable heads which makes different stitch patterns. I opted for the easiest stitch pattern on my first try - not totally straight either. I used floss on this one, but not sure I really like floss on it - next time I will try regular thread. Well, this was sort of an experimental card anyway. If you have used the Sew Easy and have any suggestions, let me know. Thanks for looking. My blog.

Wow-wee! Pretty darn sweet for an "experiment"! I love stitching on cards, and this is perfect- nice, "homey" touch. Love your blooms and beautiful leaves. Hugs....

I was looking at that gadget in one of the latest magazines. So is it worth it?
Your card is sure pretty! The silhouette, the pretty colors and the dp sure do make up a very pretty card!

Sewing really goes great with the old-fashioned look of this silhouette card. We live close to Disneyland so we've gone many times through the years and I try to get my DD's silhouette done. There is a lady who sits in a chair with a pair of teeeeny scissors and cuts out the person's silhouette in minutes. Amazing! This reminds me of what that silhouette looks like.

Wow girl, for an experiment your card turned out awesome. The silhouette is just amazing. And the sewing, I feel, turned out great!! I think it looks better then it would have had it been totally straight. Wow..looking at your card brought a tear to my eye. I was thinking of the old woman in the song....the silhouette being her when she was younger. Wow, Kathy, very strong card. Thank you for playing.
