We came down to the cabin on Saturday evening, (yeah, I got to play with my toys!!) But I didn't get to play full time :( I spent Sunday & Monday making jerky from ground deer meat, and some fudge....what a combination. I make fudge for the family and some of the friends at Christmas. I made white chocolate w/pecans, chocolate w/walnuts, chocolate w/peanut butter chips, chocolate with coconut, and tiger butter. Also made some truffles, come are rolled in confectioners sugar, cocoa and colored sugar, the chopped nuts didn't want to stick so I gave up on them. I got to play a little entering some Gina K challenges. But today decided to make some gift tags for the fudge. I saw a video over at Stamp TV on how to make regular paper look like metallic paper and tried it out. Couldn't decide how I wanted to attach them, until I ran across some bags in my stash. You can see a close-up of the tag in my gallery. I decided to use the Serene Snowflake set, on the bags with tempting turquoise ink, since I already had that color thing going on with the tags. Then I decided to mount the tags with ribbon, so I punched holes, ran the ribbon through and around the handle and tied a bow. I know they are not the most beautiful bags you have ever seen, but these can be recycled or re-gifted. Since I hate wrapping presents, I can use my idea I mentioned when I uploaded the tags, put the fudge in ziploc bags, then drop them in these, and I'm done. Thanks for looking and any comments.
