Poor Horace, he's headed for divorce if he continues to bring home the characters in the 12 days of Christmas carole...see why Harry needed to come to the rescue here:
This is the cabin/studio in the woods that Harry found so Horace can have his drummers and Delores can have her peace. This may look like an ordinary cabin but the beauty of it is this: it's an earth house so the bottom floor is all underground, kinda like a basement so all those drummers won't disturb the tranquility of the forrest and the little animals can go about their daily lives uninterrupted...
about this card;
lots of masking and doodling. the fence is cut with cricut and front tree cut and popped strategically to cover an oops...I covered the roof with liquid applique and added glitter while wet, and ran the tip through to form icicles...
TFL....

You've created a wonderful winter scene! The basement is a wonderful idea for hiding the drummers and keeping the peace all around! I like that you made the drips from the rooftop yourself, it's quite creative!!

Wow I'm impressed, not only are you a nurse but an engineer too. You might want to sell these house plans, I'm sure alot of mother's would be interested, if it helps eliminate the sound of loud music, drum playing, children screaming, etc. Teahee!
Your snow scene looks so peaceful and serene, I'm ready for snow here in KS, as I'm sure you probably are not (sorry).
You did a great job of masking for your forest and your oops looks great with a tree and fence in front (it gives dimension). Keep the fire going, cause Delores is starting to chap, she's to deep in the forest to head back tonight so I guess she'll have to wear some ear plugs to block the sound of the drums.
Your card is very pretty and your story was great reading! TFS

Yikes, I am so tired after a trip away for the weekend that I can barely remember the saga about Horace, but this sounds ideal for all the drummers and pipers. I know from personal experience how much noise musicians can make, so I think this is a great idea!

Good move , Sheri, music is good for the soul, but too much and too loud could create havoc!
A very tranquil little scene and you have done a wonderful job on it. You really put your whole heart into this woodsy scene, and it shows!!! TFS the peace!!

OMG! I am so glad I came back to get the teapot we left here last week or I woulda missed this card all together! Yikes! Wow, so this is what Horace got? Really? Wowza, what a big improvement from stuffing the drummers in the entry way! Giggle! I agree..you need to market this architectural delight! We can buy a club house for the teapotters and keep the rowdy ones down below! giggle!
This is such an awesome scene...wowza...so glad I did not miss it! It rocks!!!!
