Sorry, not much from me, except a history lesson. We got some bad news about our dog yesterday & I've been a little down since. There's a strong probability that she has bladder cancer & there is nothing they can do for her. Anyway, onto this card.
I d/l this from the internet (copyright has expired, so OK there) this photo from the original production of the Nutcracker. It was performed at the Imperial Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg, December 1892. Each time I saw the Cleveland production I was always in awe of the growning Christmas tree. I used some hoarded currency green sent to me by the Devine Miss M, aka StampMuse, Emily. I trimmed out the tree after embossing.
The Nutcracker Suite is one of my favorite pieces of music.
Thanks for stopping by to take a peek.

Karen this is such a fun card and how clever to use this old photo, it's just perfect!!
I'm so very sorry to hear about your puppy, I know how hard it can be, I had to put my Springer Spaniel down about two years ago due to cancer and I cried forever. Our pets are part of our family, they go everywhere with us and to lose one of them would be like losing a child. Since my Springer died I have only had the Corgie, but 2 weeks ago I rescued a Beagle from the University of WA testing facility and my Corgie and my two girls just love her to death!!
I hope everything turns out for the best with your puppy and I will be keeping you in my thoughts!!

What a lovely interpretation of the Nutcracker challenge! I love that you used a vintage photo--it looks perfect under your beautifully embossed tree. I'm so sorry to hear the bad news about your dog. I'm thinking of you!

Oh Karen... I'm so sorry to hear about your poor doggy! My heart is aching for you! It's good for you to sit and stamp for a while to get your mind of things! That photo is beautiful and is such a unique idea! Love that embossed tree in the bg! Great card for today's challenge!~

So sorry about your dog! Hugz!
This is a super cool image - I love that ballet - one of the only ones I like. It captures the childlike fantasies of Christmas so well. Your card is neat - thanks for sharing.
