ItÂ’s that time of year when not only the holidays are near, but my PopÂ’s birthday is here. Let me tell you the story behind this cardÂ…
I wanted to tip my own personal creative meter with his birthday card. I was in competition with myself to top his Father's Day Card. After much creative pondering and Google searching for ideas, I got the idea for this card when I came across the Father's Day Trio Card Kit Instruction Manual. I said to myself, “Self…” Just kiddidng, but I did think this card would the creative challenge I’ve been looking for. My pops is very dapper in his suits and he thinks so too. LOL! So, I knew this card would be a hit with him.
Anywho…needless to say pops loved it. He probably enjoyed the card more for what was on the inside. I had a photo of him posing in a suit and underneath the photo was “Still Looking Good”
The rest as they say is history. Please let me know what you think.

Sounds like you really had fun making this card. and I think it turned out great. I like your addition of the buttons. Your sentiment sounds like you captured your dad's personality perfectly.
Love your card. My dad, at age 80, sounds like your pop. He's a very dapper dresser too. I think I'll make him a card like this for his 81st in January. Thanks.

Sounds like a perfect card for your dad ~ it's awesome! I especially like the way you used the ribbon to create a tie --- great idea. Going into my favorites.

What a fabulous version of the jacket and tie design. I bet your dad was just blown away by this fantastic version of a man's suit. I have yet to try this but you have inspired me. Sensational work.

This isn't just a typical suit card. It has style! Love that green tie and shirt and those narrow lapels! I just had the pleasure of going through your wonderful gallery - loved it!
