Julie(justwritedesigns) is heading up the Technique Challenge today. She gave us a great tutorial for creating the "faux tile" background. You can see it HERE. Thanks, Julie. SO much easier than cutting out all those tiles.

I kept mine pretty monochromatic except for the red bird. I love the bright dash of red that cardinals bring to a drab winter scene.
