We had such a sweet image as the inspiration for the Teapot Tuesday Challenge this week. Cindy always comes up with a great story to go along with it.
This is based on an old tradition of leaving calling cards when you visit someone. The image is meant for a placecard, but I thought mixing it with the sentiment would make a good calling card. So let me call you all to join in the fun this week.

What a nice idea to bring a calling card.Love the border. Did you know that how the card was presented during Victorian times sent a message? Not quite sure how the whole thing plays out but I think one corner down means you want to see the lady of the house, folded in half means an emergency. And on and on.

As I first looked at it - before I read your comments - I thought "wow it reminds me of an old fashion calling card". Beautifully executed - stunning card!

That gold embossing is perfect, I don't think to use it nearly often enough. For me it works perfectly with the idea of visiting cards. I have some old ones of my great-grandfather's, but compared with this they are totally utilitarian. That's such a pretty border punch, too.
