Sigh. A few days ago my oldest son told me that he and my DIL were getting a divorce. They seemed and still seem perfect for one another. He put his education/life on hold while she finished her PhD. He has resumed his studies but now she is totally consumed by her career and doesn't think that she is or will be happy with him.
Jon has always been a wonderful son (except for some rough teen years!) friend and brother. He watched out for the others. He was the kind of guy not to spill the beans about Santa just to keep some magic in his brothers lives. My heart is totally broken for him not just because he is my son, but because he deserves so much better. I am grateful for the love and support that all of his/their friends and siblings have given him, and hope that I can be the kind of mom for him that he needs.
This card contains a note sharing how proud of him that I am of how he has conducted his life and how brave and wonderful a person he is to me. Lori's sketch: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ga...0&ppuser=10909
seemed perfect for the idea, the sentiment really conveys a lot. The waterlily may not intuitively be a guy thing, but he loves the outdoors and especially loves being around the water. The Tim Holtz EF reflects pretty well how my heart feels right now. I offset the nestie ovals because I feel a little out of balance... I know that he will get through this and be a much better person on the other side, but it is all pretty raw right now.
Thanks for listening and for all of the kind things so many of you have said to me here on SCS. Keep him in your prayers, bless each and every one of you and have a peaceful day.

So sorry to hear about your son- we will pray that possibly a miracle could happen and reconciliation would occur. Your card is lovely and I am sure that your son will be very appreciative of your love and support at this time.

Your lovely card caught my eye. I see that it was created for your son going through a difficult time. I have been there myself and peace and healing can be in his future. I am sorry for what he is facing but we all learn more about ourselves in difficult times than in the easy ones. I'm glad you and your family is there for him. Peace.
