I'm sure glad I have company on this trip....hitch hikin all the way to MA....cuz it could get skeery and lonely otherwise....even if there are lots of fun shops along the way....to see what kind of fun is planned this week go here...
Ms. Evelyn sounds like a hip gal....an 88 yr. old caddy drivin crazy gal...sounds like my kinda fun....So I stopped at the local auto detail shop and got the emerald green caddy shined and spiffed up for her....It's ready to go, with her Red Sox banner flyin high...
This is a scan of a 1959 Cadillac 2 door Seville. I took my colored image over to my cuz house to see where I needed to add the chrome...since they ladled the stuff on with a trowell on these old babies....He has the one his dad bought new and it is the sweetest, sexiest, buttercup yellow ride you could evah wish for....Yes, I'm trying to talk him into selling it to me...heehee....In the meantime, he had the nerve to tell me that emerald green was not an approved color for that yr.....Well, I had to inform him of how things work in teapotter land....If Ms. Evelyn wants an emerald green caddy.....that's what she gets. I'm not gonna tell an 88 yr. old banner waving half crazed Red Sox fan she can't....are you?
I also am starting the sketch challenge challenge...it is for those of us who came late to the program, to start at sketch 1 and work through all the old ones....this is for SC01...following a sketch isn't easy for me so think I'll learn a lot

What a totally cool ride, complete w/ the RED sox! Love your story too.
I love the sketch challenge b/c sometimes that's the hardest part of a card for me, but I didn't start at 1. Hummm, maybe I should. But I don't think that's gonna happen. Good for you to try this!

Wow I am lovin' that ride - sweeeeeeet! The Bo Sox banner (well socks really) is too fun for words. Hmmmmmm I like your idea about starting from sketch 1 of the sketch challenge and working your way up to when you started doing the challenges. Great idea and great card!

Oh - I'd seen that challenge, and even looked at some of the earlier sketches. You can see how sketch design evolved as DP became more and more part of everyday card-making.
Go for that yellow Caddy, keep talking to your cousin.
Love all the details in this with the socks and the car - although with the amount of leaves on the ground I don't think we're going to get much shade from those trees!

Sheri - this card brought out your awesome sense of humor - how great it is! I love those socks! Now look at you trying to get the car made to exact specs - now that is a true card maker girl. Love your story too.
I think I should try to start with the sketch challenge number 1 too - I have done a few of them but not that many - they are always awesome. I may start that as soon as I get done doing all the Midnight Madness Sketch challenges - I think I only have 45 more to go on them!
