I tried Beate's technique of using an acrylic block for a background. You can find the tutorial here.. Mine didn't turn out like hers, but I really liked the effect.
I used Weathered Wood on my block. The cattails are from Technique Tuesday's set Growing Wild and are stamped with Not Quite Navy. It is matted with Not Quite Navy, also. The dp is some old Not Quite Navy I've had for a while. The sentiment is PTI Birthday Basics.

The cattail image is perfect on the beautiful background you created. Love the color combo you chose for your card.

Lynette, this is awesome!! Even though it is masculine, it is BEAUTIFUL!!! I love the shape of your acrylic block. That worked so great for a background. I still want that Growing Wild set.
