Oh my, not only am I late for the tea party, but I also have to sneak in the back door with these cakes. I've come a long way, from the North Atlantic to Massachusetts! It wasn't hard to hitch rides, as I had all of these cakes with me and travellers get hungry, but boy, getting them here in one piece was a challenge! Everyone whom I THOUGHT was generous and brave for giving me a ride, all tried to snitch a cake as I was gathering all of my things together...
I didn't have any irises to bring to the tea party, or any cookies either, but I hope you like my Pumpkin Spice cake with cream cheese frosting, that I made in honor of Evelyn's 88th birthday. It smells like gingerbread, though. Seriously! Happy Birthday Evelyn!!!

So sweet, as in cake sweet you are. Love the simple cas feel and the fact that there is no refraining on one's birthday. We all agree with that. So, bring on the cakes, I love them. TFS xo

I can't look at this card for long as it's making me hungry & I'm trying to lose some weight. Great birthday card, great sentiment & love the scalloped border bedecked with pearls.

Your card looks lovely, the sentiment is so much fun. And it must smell as good as it looks, too!
Your cake sounds delicious. Your write-up reminded me of when I'd made a birthday cake for a friend while staying at my parents, and we had a 200 mile drive in the car with the smell tantalising us all the way.
