I created this card for VSN's "Up in the Air" challenge where you make a card with something that you find in the air. Well, you find birds in the air, but here they are tired and taking a break from flying using Martha Stewart's Birds on a Wire punch. This punch is GREAT for using up scraps! (Every day is Earth Day!). I borrowed the color combo from Samantha at Scrapmaster's Paradise and her 73rd Color combo: Real Red, Pear Pizzazz and Certainly Celery: http://thescrapmaster.blogspot.com/s...Color%20Combos . In case you have trouble distinguishing, as I do with Certainly Celery and Pear Pizzazz - the pear is the base and the sentiment, the birds background is the celery. Since this is a holiday card it will count towards one of my ten for the month of a past month (I finished November but have to go back and complete to July, August and September - for anyone interested, I highly recommend signing up for this challenge for 2011 - it is a GREAT way to finish all of your holiday cards WAY before the rush begins so you have one less thing to worry about!). I am also entering it in Cute Card Thursday's 'Anything Goes' challenge 138: http://cutecardthursday.blogspot.com/ .
Thank you for the cool challenges and thank you to everyone who takes the time to look at my card.
