Happy VSNing... Here is my card for Carole's (FibreJunky) challenge. To make a Christmas card with non traditional colours... No green and no red.
I absolutely love this vintage Santa image from Inkadinkado... I purchased it last year after Christmas for only $5.00 how lucky was that... I stamped the image using Stampin Up Basic Brown and then clear embossed image.. you can't tell that in the photo.. I just touched up his checks with a blush Tombow Marker. Matted image with Kraft and Not Quite Navy c/s. The DP behind the image is from My Minds Eye, matted with Kraft and NQN. Sponged all edges with basic brown and distressed. I crumpled up the DP to give it a more distressed look. sewed all edges. Tied on the ribbon. Popped up the image.

This is a very nostalgic vintage card. I love the way you put the stitching in the background and continued it on the ribbon. Beautiful job and beautiful card!

Blue AND brown! Brilliant.
What a cool image, too. Just the thing for a time-constraint challenge. I love that it has both bg and main image right in there.
I am jealous of your sewing, too. That's a great look.
