This week's Flourishes challenge was to use glitter. This is one of the neatest ways to use glitter that I have seen, so I wanted to try it out. This isn't my original idea. My friend Colleen Ciaccio had a card done this way, but I think she saw it first here on splitcoast. Sorry, I don't know who to credit.
Here is what I did to make the window pane. I cut out a large square from the center of the white panel (I used a square nestabilities die cut to do this, but it could be done in many ways). Then I adhered two long narrow strips of cardstock across the back of the square hole to make "cross bars". Then I put clear packing tape on the back of the window so that the sticky side faces out. My window was too large to be covered by one piece of tape, it needed two. So I made sure that the edge of the tape was along the "cross bar" so that the seam didn't show. After I had both pieces of packing tape in place, I covered them with clear glitter (dazzling diamonds) to give the frosted effect. Then I stamped the trees on a separate piece of cardstock and adhered them behind the window.

If you have time please consider sending a card to fellow SCSer and my mom, m&m'sgrandma (updated information is at this link). She is undergoing treatment for breast cancer and will be having surgery in a couple of weeks. Thanks!
