Irishgreensue was selected by Bev Barton as our Queen for the Day. She has a truly inspiring gallery and I had an enjoyable time going through it. She leaves kind comments for many in the various galleries which makes her all the more special.
I selected THIS CARD of Sue's to CASE. I altered the colors, direction of the layout, moved the ribbon, and used more layers and edging.
This Hero stamp is one that lays down the bg color. I used my brayer to apply the various inks to the stamp itself. Then I stamped. It always seems to be a surprise what the result is, but I liked this one and went with it. Since it leaves the white pines in silhouette, I felt it fit in with today's F4A challenge - silhouette.
Congratulations, Sue, and enjoy your reign!

Holy Schmokes! This is gorgeous! I love what you have done, and your case is wonderful- "it's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas...."

Wow oh Wow!! Sallie, your beautiful card reflects a perfect winter scene. It reminds me of fresh fallen snow...that first taste of winter. Thanks for playing in the challenge, I am sure that Queen Sue will enjoy seeing this card.

To say that I am loving this look of that background stamp brayered with different inks is an understatement!!! Your gorgeous blend of blues in that starlit sky brings the wonderment of that first good snow!!! You cased one of my FIRST Christmas cards ever, and what a fabulous job you have done !! The silver ribbon, the rhinestones, and the snowflake add so much more to the already beautiful blues - this one's a real winner!! Thank you so much!!
