I'm not happy with this, but it's my third attempt and I'm calling it a day! I've tried three different types of card and my fingers are dark blue . I was trying to use it as a focal image at first, but it was too subtle.
Thanks for a fun technique and great instructions, Joan.
5" square black Bazzill Bling base with the edges embossed with silver EP. 4/2" dark blue Bazill Bling panel also with the edges embossed with silver.
For the image panel I sponged white card heavily with Dusty Concord, Faded Jeans and Broken China. I used a large Hero Arts snowflake stamp to stamp randomly with water, and then after I'd dried it I stamped tiny little snowflakes in silver. Cut with Labels 1 and edged with Stickles. The snowman is a button, the tree is a mulberry card die-cut decorated with tiny silver half pearls. I added a shooting star with a ribbon trail in the sky - the star is Spellbinders Create a Flake 1 with a gem brad, popped up on foam.

Sabrina, your card is wonderful! You really did a terrific job with today's "water" challenge. I think the dark colors make for a much better result, since I can see your water-stamped snowflakes clearly.

Lovely card!!! This was one hard technique. I tried numerous times and finally added bleach to my water. My bff told me she could not make out the image. Oh well...I still love trying all the new techniques.

Your card is very beautiful. I know what you mean about this technique. Mine was also the 3rd run at it. I ended up not using distress inks but Marvy ink pads which are also dye inks. They seemed juicier and I could lay the colour down faster allowing me to get at the water stamping before the inks had dried.
