Wonderful sketch w/ lots of possibilities! This is also for our DDIC challenge.
I was really struck by the blue and brown combo and the pattern of the owl. After looking thru all my images, I found a lot of birds but only one owl image. The owl and sentiment are a little clear set from Studio G. I stamped the owl onto white c/s using a rainbow ink pad and used markers to color in all the white spaces. After cutting him out, I attached him to a dk chocolate panel that I did a little doodling on w/ a white gel pen. The sentiment was stamped with the chocolate ink and colored in w/ markers. I used a scallop die on the edge.
On the lg choc panel, I used a diamond embossing folder (QK) and a leafy branch (CB) on the bottom choc panel. The leaves were die cut w/ nesting leaves set (QK) and the little branches are a punch. I made 3 faux brad (or the SCS Tutorial). The finished card measures 4.25 x 5.5.
Thanks so much for looking! My blog:The Write Stuff. Sorry! I had to delete a bunch of really old posts from my blog & this is one of them.

This is gorgeous! I love the colors used here.....especially that wonderful turquoise. The owl is fantastic and so are the layered leaves and the faux brads.
